I don't think it was a lacklustre season....
Totally new cars, a 'new' phenomenon called porpoising where only Newey seemed to have heard of, Ferrari making a complete fool out of themselves multiple times during pit stops, 'newcomer' Russel beating GOAT Hamilton multiple times etc etc.
Sure there wasn't the die hard Max vs. Lewis battle of last year, but Max didn't need to as it seems like Ferrari can't finish a race weekend without making some stupid mistake.
Compared to the 2nd half of the last decade, hardly anyting can be called lacklustre imho.
