I find it hard to believe a small bird could kill a human, but ignoring that for the moment, if you found your wife in that state, wouldn't one of the FIRST things you'd say to the 911 operator besides your wife laying unconscious at the bottom of the stairs be WHAT THE HELL IS W ALL THAT BLOOD?????! Nope, no mention of that at all, as if that is the typical thing that happens when one falls down the stairs.
That guy has such a ridiculous ego and is so freaking annoying showing up wherever there's a tv broadcast, gives new meaning to the term camwhore. Incredible some women find him attractive when he looks like some gnome. Guy has an 'affair' in the middle of his trial, so much for the grieving widower, plus many, many more clues.

EDIT: drawing from memory, but didn't they find similar head wounds for that other woman who 'fell' down another stairs and died as well? Cmon, WAY too many coincidences. That guy is guilty as sin.
