No kidding. I saw the shots of the tires, they don't even look that heat-cycled. I think the teacher is dumb but the dude bitching is even dumber. Oh no, your poor car went 160. Call the cops, the tires are shot and you need new brakes.
I remember when I turoed a Subaru WRX STI limited trim whatever it was, special edition car, the guy flat out told me he hoped I wrecked it so he could collect on insurance because he hated it. I probably wouldn't put anything particularly spicy on there because I know people will drive it... that's what they're for. Taking it to an event, sure that's a bridge too far, but the texas mile is probably the tamest event in terms of vehicle wear and tear I can think of.
