For me, my parents bought a 2003 325i back in '04. First ever BMW in our family, sort-of our introduction into middle class territory. I wasn't of age to drive it, but I still had a few short runs with it. Funny enough, it's still in our family 14 years later.

Probably in the minority here, but the first BMW that I drove was given to me by my grandparents, and it was a dark green 2000 740il. I owned that until I was 20.
