We got a great deal on a Tacoma lease a couple of years ago and found it extremely useful. Not only was it handy for hauling stuff, but it made a great family and road trip car. It was a manual and that part was sometimes tedious. We ended up selling it, but have a new one coming. This one will have automatic, Carplay, and power seats, which the first one didn't have.
After driving sporty cars exclusively up until recently, I will say it is refreshing after owning the Tacoma and a few Jeeps to hit the occasional pothole and not cringe. Driving over curbs is fun too, along with some light off-roading.
