I have my doubts with a 5.5L engine at 9000 RPM. Those cylinders would need a massive bore to keep the stroke short. Not to mention the challenges that flat plane crank brings.
I'm gonna take a guess and say it's closer to 8k than 9. |
It's practically the same displacement per cylinder as a GT3 4.0L. Ford's Voodoo was 5.2L with an 8,250 redline and was saddled with all sorts of compromises like a single sided intake and didn't have direct injection. I'm betting the redline is closer to 9k if not all the way there. And FPS will always rev higher, that's their very purpose.
