No idea why i struggle so much with this type of thing, I still have issues understanding the PS4 system too.

Kid got a switch for Xmas. Now, i set up two users, him and I. I then set myself up on the Nintendo network and i set him up as a child sub on my account.

I cannot, for the life of me, link the user with account. Nor do i understand all the various things i need to sign up for. Seems there are Users, then there's the Nintendo account then there's a Nintendo Network ID .. I am absolutely fucking lost.
