As of today there's no evidence Trump will or will not attempt to impose duties on car imports from Europe. He has already commented on the BMW Mexico plant and has threatened to tax these imports 35%.
Let's see how far he takes this. Reality is he has Executive authority to impose up to 15% duty for up to (I believe) 150 days. Anything beyond this rate or for a longer period of time must seek congressional approval. good luck!
