I minimized nothing. I think you have it backwards.
I wonder why cops & others all over the country minimize the damage that not getting vaxxed causes, not just to those who choose such, but to innocent bystanders.
I have not seen folks here, including you, morn the fact that so many more cops die from covid.
Remember, covid never stops with infecting "just you". It spreads.
