I am hoping there are some Xdrive offerings.

After owning a Focus RS, it was heavy and AWD, but (extremely) fun.

'If' Xdrive is done right and paired with a manual it can be very engaging, my hope is BMW follows other makers and offers their FWD models in Xdrive and a manual.
Ford went their own way on the Focus RS setup. And it was a great solution. It's more likely that BMW will continue to use basic Haldex setups like the X1/X2 and Minis, being 100% fwd until slip is detected. VWAG has exclusive rights to the latest Haldex that sends a fixed rate ("greater than 10%", so likely 10.1%) to the rear.

I've driven the Golf R and Focus RS as well as a number of regular Haldex cars and the Ford setup is obviously the best, but the Golf R was noticeably nicer than the other Haldex ones and closer to the Ford than the plain Haldex setup.
