hey people don't always vote for the best photos (not saying any of those mentioned are or aren't the best but...). Even though the category is Light and Dark, most people who come along and vote don't take that into account and vote purely on what catches their eye the most... lots of time also on the subject (a pic of a modded E92 M3 might get more votes than a pic of an apple even if the apple pix is the best example of lighting you've ever seen). I've often considered lobbying to make the polls closed to just those that submit photos into the contest but then it wouldn't really work cuz you can't filter out who votes and who doesn't in a poll. I guess we could do it by setting up the thread and having the people just PM their top 3 and give out points for each placing (kinda like a Heisman vote). The only thing is that these contests SHOULD be inclusive so all members of the site are able to participate, so thats something to keep in mind.
