Plate law
You do have to have a front plate in IL, however, I get about 1 ticket per year on it. Most cops won't stop you because they don't care. And if you park in a garage then you're probably ok. Parking on the street means you'll get tickets. One of the al-time dumbest laws known to man. Call me vane but I just can't ruin the front of a great car with a license plate. I say take your chances if you park in a garage over-night. If you're getting your car, you can always have the dealer do nothing and come back later to get it drilled.
