I grew up just a mile or three off the end of one of the runways at KNZW. I'm old enough to remember the blimps lumbering by. I actually got to hitch a ride on one of the Navy choppers for a flight up through the White Mountains in ME and back. That former NAS is now mostly converted to high end condo complexes.
