Perhaps it is to be expected and maybe the bar was set too high by my interactions with a Porsche sales guy in Los Gatos, CA who was an ex-factory race driver. He would entertain us for hours with stories about driving Porsches the way they we designed to be driven. His account of Walter Rohrl introing the Cayenne is unforgettable.
Perhaps I was hoping for the same thing up here. It seems so disingenuous for a "drivers" marque to staff it's sales floor with pedestrian flunkies who are just after a quick buck. Still bums me out.
Gives me strong incentive to pay as little as possible over invoice - since I'm getting nothing out of the dealer experience.
