In 10 years, when the established (traditionally ICE) players have leveraged electric motors, Tesla will become a minor player in the automotive industry. They have done well so far because they haven't had competition.

Competition breeds innovation. I hope the other players make better electric cars so that Tesla has to make better electric cars so that the other players make better electric cars etc...
I wouldn't want to track a Tesla, but the fact that this boat still makes decent laps tells me a focused electric performance car is going to be bananas.
