Mercedes getting faster doesn't really mean much, at least not this year. The car is wildly inconsistent from a performance standpoint - on one track the W13 looks improved and looks like it's catching up with Ferrari and Red Bull but on another in completely falls flat.
Mercedes is said to have one more significant upgrade (but not as big as their first) and we have yet to see Red Bull and Ferrari bring any huge upgrades which is stated to be coming after the summer break.
