Volvo has a high towing capacity on the S90(2100kg) so if you could bring the G31 with something similar, a 50/50 weight distribution, and ajustable ride height with pneumatic suspension so that you can have it low when you want it, it would be all the car you ever need. With low ride height you could keep Bmw handling behaviour. This type of wagon could sale more than the ordinary G31 or could make the case for it.
