Does anyone have any familiarity with building these and, if so, what has been your result?

I saw an article about building a 10 Pi Cluster to attempt low-energy-requirement, crypto currency mining. As power seems to be the most prohibitive expense, the low power requirements of the Pi Cluster will greatly reduce the power requirements.

I'm new to modern computing as I came up in the WatIV FORTRAN and MS-DOS era. No cracks on my age.
