From my experience going from a 320d on se suspension and comparing to her indoors 1 series the springs don't make the ride harder just more controlled. Feels more absorbent than the 1 on msport suspension.
With s drive you could steer by using the power more with x drive car feels more neutral but you can go into and out of bends faster and flatter. This may be due to adaptives/acs etc. Do miss the ability to steer by throttle occasionally but the car is quicker.
