I'd be surprised if the Merc commanded a premium.
Bay Em Vay does smaller sports sedans / coupes supremely well - and Merc has been playing catch up.
Merc does large sedans supremely well. In my view the premia / discounts are determined in the segments, no longer by generalities such as Merc > BMW > Audi etc.
Hell, w/ the R8 & RS range Audi's clearly making a concerted effort to unseat BMW.
