Parking is a bitch, but that mainly depends on 2 things. Timing and location. From 9:00-19:00, finding parking anywhere in the city is difficult. In areas like SoHo, Midtown, Greenwich Village, etc...it's even worse. Hell's Kitchen ain't too bad during the day.

After 19:00, most commercial spots open up, which makes finding a spot a lot easier.

That said, if I need to go into a busy area during the day, I'll more than often take the subway.
