I'm already @ 6000miles on my Zed, and the major mechanicals are in great shape. However, I've already had some electrical issues/phenomena crop up (eg. RFT sensor malfunction, map light malfunction, both of which spontaneously corrected itself). I had to have the stealer replace a faulty corner window and sideview mirror.
So the answer is it depends on the car. Some members have 0 faults, some have lemons. I expected to have more reliability issues with my Zed compared to my previous Nissan, so I'm prepared.
If the dealer does have a lot of new ///Ms on the lot then you should try to lowball them for one. Wait until the end of the month when they're in a crunch for sales and I think you'll do fine. Nothing like the smell of a new car...
