Agreed. If you don't have kids and can live within walking/bike riding distance of your work and shopping/food, ATL can be pretty good.

If you change jobs and the job is only a few miles further away, it can have a dramatic impact on your commute/free time. I just couldn't get past that for a place like ATL. San Diego? Absolutely
