The coupe and convertible are truly two different beasts....I chose the convertible because I dont intend to track mine, nor will I ever push to car to the limits, and i obviously love the top down effect....
If you think differently from me, bear in mind the coupe has FAR greater limits than the convertible....not just accelaration where there is a slight difference, but hard cornering, the coupe (or sedan for that matter) will pull nearly a G of lateral acceleration. In cornering grip the M3 convertible is no better than a sport package 335i coupe...
