It will happen when all EV's are made with a uniform wattage, size, and shape. That will never happen here, too many use case scenarios that require too many versions of EV's.

In a mono-culture where everyone has the same (government regulated) needs (by design), it can be made functional. This is why you do see it in some places. Places most of us don't want to live.
