I've done a handful of races on the west coast, and from my experience, it's best to leave the car decently stock performance wise for your first race. Get a feel for the car, and find out what you do and don't like. You can willy nilly throw parts on the car, but then you never really know if you actually improved anything. Something that probably couldn't hurt would just be a front and rear strut tower brace. You can make one out of some flat bar with little effort.

Thanks man for the Tip! We are planning on doing the Lemons race at Sonoma in December 2019. The clutch just got cooked so we need to replace that and probably the flywheel
But other than that we still have to put in seats, roll cage and other safety stuff!
