I have a few friends bitching about working from home, and I don't get it. I worked from home for a month and loved every minute of it. I commute an average of 100 miles and 2 hours a day going to client sites for my company.

You have to be able to establish a good work/life balance when working from home. When I worked from home I'd occasionally respond to stuff at night, but it was because I was relaxing with a nice drink, and it was during a pandemic where I couldn't really go anywhere else with everything locked down. After 4pm, I no longer respond to stuff unless urgent (just like normal). My father is really bad about this though, and also being in the technology field he pretty much just works 24/7 now because he has no off switch.
