Moving to Texas (Finally!)
Yep - that's right, finally making the move from Chicago to Dallas (actually Frisco). I've had a few consulting projects (1 in Fort Worth, 1 in Plano) last year and loved it so much I eventually convinced my wife. Compared to Chiraq, its warmer, has a cheaper cost of living, less crime, faster home appreciation, better schools, and no state income tax. Property taxes and traffic will probably be a wash. I've got a 3 car garage for my 2 Ms and whatever my wife gets so i will finally be able to wash my own car and give my own oil changes haha.
How's the car culture like down there? Frequent meets? Any good back roads or courses I should check out?
