There are companies out there that contract out scanning services. Don't expect it to be cheap but it will be leaps and bonds more accurate than anything the typical person can afford to use.

I have a few of these systems at work for scanning automotive body panels and assemblies. The ones we currently use run between $300-500k depending on how they're optioned.

It's possible to pick an older system up from a manufacturing facility. We recently had one sold at a fraction of what it cost and before that we had planned on just tossing it.
