No motorcyclist is expecting any car drivers to hit the shoulder for them to pass. We only ask that car drivers don't intentionally block or obstruct a motorcyclist as they filter.
Like any vehicle... It can be operated by courteous or selfish people.
Always remember, if you wish for the roads to shared with you, then share the roads with others.
