If we move to government mandated self driving cars, it'll probably be a few M cars that still have value and nothing else.

Some old rich guys will still want to drive them on the race track, but there wouldn't be much use for an old, cool, but historically not that significant BMW.

If self driving cars ARENT mandated, then I think most of the current lineup will still have a following. My bet is that in 40 years someone will come up with some sort of universal replacement solution for car infotainment systems, because nobody is going to know how to program for/get parts for/work on that shit 40 years from now.
