Because he's only succeeded in 4 major changes in rules and regulations in F1. Sometimes I really think you started watching Formula One about 3 races ago.
Sir Lewis the only driver in the history of F1 to win a race in each season he's raced in Formula One.
And as far as him being scared of 2022 there are a few things you should consider:
1. Paddy Lowe's Quote about Lewis in testing; "When we get the car back from Lewis in testing, we know that every bit of performance has been extracted from the car. I can't say that for any other driver I've worked with." Now if you go back and look at the drivers Paddy Lowe has worked with, you will understand the import of that statement.
2. The importance of a driver with Sir Lewis's experience in testing a new car in a radically different formula cannot be overstated. See statement 1.
3. Anyone who doubts the skill level of Sir Lewis at this point is probably 1 of 3 things.
A. Completely ignorant about F1 and what it takes to win a race, let alone, a championship, and way beyond that 7.
B. Doesn't like Sir Lewis and think's he's lucky. (I'll be generous and place you in this category.}
C. Doesn't like Sir Lewis because they are racist. There are lots of these who try to hide in category B.
Instead of the vitriol, why don't you try reasonable engagement and make this a better place. We already have people who are vitriolic and divisive on here which can make it a very challenging. Be a good forum citizen and don't contribute to propaganda. You were/are a cop. Don't be a consistent instigator. You wouldn't tolerate it in your professional life, don't bring it here.
