Greetings,

A friend of mine factory ordered a 1999 540i manual transmission M Sport with many (if not all) available options other than the automatic transmission. My friend is looking to purchase a new 8-Series and he wants to sell the 540i. I want to purchase it, but because he is a friend, I want to be certain to offer him a fair price. The car has 73,000 miles on it, has always been garaged, and is in number 1 condition. It runs perfectly, and everything works. All service has been performed at BMW dealerships and is fully documented. No accidents, not even a minor one.

I sense that the blue book values may not be accurate, otherwise I would offer him high book and be done with it.

I would be very interested in your thoughts.
