If I may, your 4Runner can weight up to 4,800lbs depending on how it’s equipped, just 200 lbs less. And if you’re going off-road, buy an off-road trunk.
Performance SUVs are silly, but wagons do not sell here. I feel like we had our chance and voted with our wallets.
As for running costs, obscene sure, but at over 200k, owners won’t care.
And hey, driven in a vacuum, as an engineering achievement, the car is amazing. “Coupes” are weird, but SUVs are practical, and if you have the money, why not.
