Thanks for the compliments on my Snake River gorge photo.
However, the light wasn't very favorable, with the photo taken directly into the setting sun. It actually was starting to get pretty dark.
I usually favor mild HDR myself (as in the Yellowstone pool), but in the case of this picture, I thought that it came out better using tone compression instead of details enhancer. The color does have a purple tinge, but I thought that it didn't look too bad. I think that in the case of this picture, the colors of the sunset were reflected better in the river than they were in the sky.
