I had the opportunity to see the German Announcement from BMW to the dealers and found it interesting that BMW stated that the dealers could release a car to the customer, if it had already been registered with the German Traffic Authorities. They also stated that there was no need to recall a vehicle if it had been already released.
That would indicate to me that the issue with the differential/drivetrain cannot be that serious, but makes it even more puzzling as to why they are not releasing the non-registered vehicles and no replacement parts are available... |
