I used one of those
precision utility knives with the little blade attachment on the end of it. It came out Ok, but trying to debur the rough edges of left-over paint perfectly around the circular hole was a challenge. As you can see, it wasn't perfect.
That doesn't take away from the 18mm step drill bit though. That thing popped the perfect sized circle for the PDC sensor.
