I've been there . It's scary as hell. The tiny bundle and no instruction manual. I was so literally fucked up by the whole experience that when we got home from the hospital, hubby kicked the kiddo in it's own too because I did not stop being afraid someone would steal it/ take it back/ she'd die if i wasn't staring at her 24/7.
It took me months to calm down. Probably years to let go of the traumas but gladly our second showed up early enough for me to start moving again as me. I was at my friends wedding, puking my guts out because of the lovely hormones when I realized life is pretty fucking awesome if a minor 9months of surviving only on milk could keep me away from having an M3 full of these.
Sadly, I never counted the seatbelts. That and the fact that after all this I still think I could pile a few more (Tetris. It's just not a game, it's educational) into a car and still have the power, handling and the will to live left, makes me the perfect person to say:
Go with cloth seats.
Never, ever think a car will matter again.
What ever she wants, goes. Get used to being whipped.
