That's irrelevant. It'll grab enough attention for enough wealthy people to buy then slowly move downmarket. There's a trim level that will be offered at Model S prices.
As a technology demonstrator, this is another step forward to EVs being a viable product for even range conscious buyers. That's why its a big deal to me.
