The 370Z Nismo already had 350HP and Nissan barely sold any towards the end. There has been the opportunity for 10+ years to have exactly that, so I'm aboard the boost train with the new Z. An N/A engine in the new car would just not sell well by comparison. Maybe if they did something like the high strung Nismo 380RS back in the 350z generation but that was limited production anyways.

I'm not disagreeing with you on the N/A thing, but those days are long gone for the most part. The newer Nismo 370Zs are perfectly suitable for that kind of experience, and were available for a long time, but I'm glad Nissan moved on.
