Question for those of you who have scissor-style midrise lifts -- do you not find them to obstruct the center part of the car? I assume it'd be very difficult to drop a transmission on a modern BMW with one of these?

I am tempted to buy a QuickJack but feel like it's way overpriced considering you can get something much more substantial that'll lift the car much higher for not much more...
