I'm looking to replace my stock wheels and tires as I can no longer stand the Conti's on there, and if I am replacing tires I may as well do everything
. I've been debating on which way to approach the situation and I have a few questions that have probably been answered before, but I am failing at the search.
First, I would prefer to go with a non-staggered setup, so I assume I will need spacers in the back, correct?
I live in Michigan where it's now pothole season, and I am concerned about 19" wheels surviving very long. On the other hand, I like the look of very few wheels, and the M6 replicas certainly pique my fancy, but an 18" rep. looks to only come in 8" width, which means a fairly narrow tire. Is this advisable?
Assuming 8" rims in back are too narrow, would it be crazy to run an 18"x8" wheel up front and a 19"x8.5" in back? Or should I just give up and run 19x8.5 all the way around?
