Went to Mexico a few weeks ago and saw basically the same thing. People sitting just a few feet away from the amazing turquoise water and were completely oblivious. Faces buried in instagram / FB / tiktok.
Effectively ignoring the people they traveled with.
Who spends all that money on a flight and a resort to just sit and stare at the same 6" screen they look at while on the toilet, in bed, at the dinner table, etc..
