Reading about your DOF "study" makes me feel better as yesterday I was trying to get my head around how DOF relates to F-stop as relates to the distance from your
subject or
focal point. I think my problem is that I WANT to know instinctively what settings to enter instead of taking a bunch of shots and getting a good one on "accident". That irritates the technician in me...LOL...anyway here is a shot I took a few weeks ago:
Probably should have shot closer to 180-200mm because the IQ drops a bit at 300mm. What do you guys think?
