Thanks for the responses on the size of the HDD. I am using a USB stick at the moment, so it's not a big deal.
I prefer to keep the music local to the car, then you don't have to check connections, think about any of the options and it should just start from where you left off when you left the car. I don't tend to play music on my phone, only at home and driving.
