the lens was purchased with the tiffen when the picture was taken... If I took two pictures with a tripod of the same thing, same settings only difference was to put a B+W filter vs. Tiffen or none or _insert brand_ and said pick the one that you like best.. No one will be able to tell me which was which.. or if there is even any difference in the pics at all!

All i know is all my L series lenses work better then anything else i've had, UV protector or not.
only time i've ever noticed the protector as an issue is taking a picture of the moon, then i took it off and took another shot.
