I feel like there should be some sort of vetting process to own a BC, since they are such wonderful dogs but so many people get them thinking they will act like a shiztu.

There is a vetting process with the rescue services. These are dogs that need to be inside, with the owners, when not herding. We think our dog was an outside dog, who tunneled his way to freedom because he was bored. Our only problem was when I played football in the front or back with my boys. The dog destroyed the blinds at the window he was watching us from. Solution,: He now gets to play with us, as the all time free safety.
