How to resent service interval lights

I have a E39 and I am trying to reset the service interval lights. I have read that if I ground out pin 7 on the data link connector it will reset the dash lights. I know where the data link connector is but can anyone tell me how to determine which pin is pin 7?

I would suggest you go to ebay and spend $11 and buy a reset unit. If you use the wrong pins you can really screw up your car. see http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBD-Inspecti...544018&vxp=mtr
