Photos taken at the Indy Grand Prix in Sonoma

This was my first time shooting cars at this speed. Definitely a challenge, but was a lot of fun. I shot at 1/500's most of the time and while I got fairly sharp photos, I kind of with I shot a little slower to get more background blur on some of them. But I guess I can't complain too much since at least the tires appear to be spinning.

Nice shots. Did you have paddock access or were all these shot from the stands?

Thanks.

All accessible from the stands. There were a few press sections where there was no fence obstructing a clear view and they seemed open to the public so I just went right in and snapped a few shots.
