In that video he was driving obviously straight for very LONG time. I might ask to much but do you know how long is the straight section? |

The facility features 96 km (60 miles) of private tarmac, which includes a large variety of road surfaces and curves, used as test tracks to evaluate new and prototype vehicles. More significantly, there is a high speed circuit with a straight approximately 8.7 km (5.4 mi) long. Although the straight portion of the track is perfectly flat and level for the entire length, when standing at one end of the straight you cannot see the far end due to the curvature of the Earth. |

Here are few facts about that track:
1- Built in 1965 in a no-flight zone. So nobody can make pictures, very smart 2- It's the world's largest test facility and the only one with a high speed circuit that has a 5.4 mile straight ( 8.7 km ) 3- The straight portion of the track is perfectly flat and level for the entire length, when standing at one end of the straight you cannot see the far end due to the curvature of the Earth.

I truly appreciate the engineering aspect of this but it's somewhat pointless...
1) You can't even realistically drive 200 MPH almost anywhere in the world. 2) How many Bugatti owners have done 200 MPH? (100 mph less than this). 3) I really think every single time this is a marketing ploy to keep Bugatti in the know. |

Compared to the standard Chiron, it measures 9.84 inches longer and has a significantly lower ride height to reduce drag. The Chiron's high-speed Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires were also reinforced to handle 5,300 G at 300 mph but are still street legal

the sad part is, it climbs until 400kmh without a breathe..
expecting a Koenigsegg goes over 500kmh..

He needs to find the road that is long enough. Last time they closed the road from public and it's not the safest way to do it.

seems like their singular focus is on straight line speed.
there are impressive parts of the car, don't get me wrong. there are just many other cars that i feel would be much more fun to have for much less money.

I think the past Koenigsegg record also wasn't an efford of Koenigsegg (although they were present) but from a customer that bought the car and organized the closed road etc. Also with this car, both the car and tyre are bespoke. I guess that because this is a bespoke car made for this run and not a production car, this is not a production car record (so Koenigsegg still holds that). For bespoke high speed cars, the record is with thrust ssc, going 2,5 times as fast as this over 2 decades ago. But thats a jet powered car. For piston engines, the top speed record is 462mph (2 way run is 439) set in 2012 by the US speed demon team.
